VIRTUAL Post-Conference Event 2025
Building Hope For Healing: Exploring Implementation Of Overdose Fatality Reviews In Tribal Communities Workgroup
Dates: TBD

The originally scheduled February 12, 2025 workgroup is transitioning to a virtual event. This half-day virtual post-conference workgroup is cohosted by the Bureau of Justice Assistance and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention leadership, in collaboration with the Comprehensive Opioid, Stimulant, and Substance Use Program (COSSUP) team at the Institute for Intergovernmental Research (IIR) and the National Criminal Justice Training Center (NCJTC) of Fox Valley Technical College, and is designed for:

  • Tribal communities interested in overdose fatality reviews (OFRs) or partnering with existing OFRs.
  • OFRs interested in and/or actively working with tribal representatives and/or communities to implement an OFR.

This workgroup will provide an opportunity for individuals to:

  • Engage in peer exchanges.
  • Give feedback on current OFR trainings and resources
  • Inform future training and technical assistance resources and tools.
  • Shape culturally appropriate OFR resources for tribal communities.

Register for this free workgroup here.

We have limited seats available for this virtual post-conference event. Those directly serving tribal communities or with a vested interest in partnering with tribal communities and who plan to contribute to workgroup discussions will have priority consideration.

IIR will be updating registered attendees with virtual meeting details via email. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to reach out through our Contact Us page anytime.
